[Tutorial] About the boids particle system

Postby layze » Mon Jan 26, 2009 5:28 am

Hi everyone, this is a tutorial about the boids in the particle system. I used it to create a prey and predator scene. So that one kind off particles chase another particle system and that they eat them. Boids is used for the creation off flocks, herds, or groups or particles.

part 1

part 2

for better quality check out vimeo:

part 2: http://www.vimeo.com/2964940

Suggestions are verry welcome, it's my second tutorial.

Hmm, it's not a bad tutorial, and I like the result. I would suggest speaking louder or something, because you're not that easy to hear.

Hi , i was wondering if there could be some feedback if the tutorial is not good enough for the user tutorial subforum. It's just that i like doing these tutorial and it's easier for people if they are up there so if i make one, i want to make it for helping people, but if it's not up there, it disapears (not literarly). Yes there is the search function but then you already have to know what you're searching.
I don't want to promote it, because i know they're not that good, but i'd like to know what has to change so that they'll get up there .

I know that the tutorials I've posted also haven't gone in there. Dunno why.

It's a pitty that you don't know why (me neither), because i thought that would be the meaning off a user tutorial subforum. But maybe we will never know  ...

Look, all tutorials that get moved to the subforum have to be hand approved by Super3boy, and since it seems that he hasn't been too active in awhile, thats why not many tutorials have moved. Just be patient and it might be moved eventually.
